Job Description

Work involves coordinating and facilitating the acquisition of goods and services. Duties include reviewing requests and authorizing the purchase of commonly used goods and services; Ensures that
the company makes wise purchases of goods or services to resell or use.

Specific Duties
  1. Responsible for the purchase of products and services in the organization.
  2. Negotiate the best deals for the company
  3. Contacts suppliers and sub contractors for price quotes; prepares requisitions and affixes authorizing signature before ordering.
  4. Follows purchasing procedures and regulations; maintains purchasing records.
  5. Contacts vendors or agency representatives to obtain availability and product information or to solicit bids; develops requests for quotations; and confers with vendors concerning new products, damaged goods, delayed payments or related information.
Job Requirements
  1. At least 2 years experience in a public sector procurement capacity, ie: processing Quotations, Tenders, Proposals, Purchase Orders, etc.
  2. Experience with computerized purchasing systems would be an asset.
  3. Good knowledge in MEP and civil tools and materials
  4. Ability to co-ordinate multiple projects requirement and work under pressure.
  5. Can Multi tasks (Able to control the movement and storage of materials in the warehouse)
  6. Ability to effectively collate, analyze & present information
  7. Analyze the purchase request from the user departments, and determine the appropriate method of procurement, Quotation, Tender and Request for Proposal.  Provide assistance to user departments, when required, in the preparation of specifications, etc.
  8. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues.
  9. Strong decision making skills.
  10. Any nationality (Able to comprehend and speak English well)
